When faced with thousands of different decisions and more expenses than it really bares thinking about, businesses can be forgiven for putting other duties and jobs to one side indefinitely. Take for example embroidered workwear and uniforms – certainly not the be all and end all when it comes to running a business, but important for the long-term nonetheless. The right uniforms and garments have the potential to do so much more for a business than hide the modesty of its workforce – what you’re looking at is a living, breathing representation of your brand and a powerful marketing medium.
Because of all of this, the decision as to which supplier to go with should not be taken lightly. At the same time however, it also doesn’t have to be an unmitigated nightmare when it comes to the selection process as it really just comes down to ticking a few essential boxes.
So, if you’re planning to place an order for new work uniforms of embroidered garments at any time in the near future, give thought to the following before going ahead:
1 – Genuine Specialism
First and foremost, there’s a huge difference between a company that specialises in personalised workwear and a business that also happens to do workwear alongside other services. The simple fact of the matter here is that if you want the very best results for the lowest prices and a generally fantastic service package across the board, you must deal with dedicated specialists. This isn’t a job for amateurs or hobbyists – the reputation of your brand and your business could be on the line.
2 – Direct Dealing
Something else to bear in mind is the way in which many of the businesses you’ll come across which appear to be offering embroidery services are in fact nothing more than middlemen. Or to put it another way, they don’t actually do 1% of the work itself but rather just outsource your work to other companies. This is a bad idea for two reasons – the first of which being you’ve no idea what kind of quality they’ll be capable of. In addition, when you go via a middleman you’ll find yourself paying for not only the garments themselves, but also the extra fee added on by the middleman to keep him/her in business. There’s really nothing to gain from doing business with middlemen when direct dealing is also on the cards.
3 – Machinery and Output
When a professional embroidery business operates at the highest industry standards, this is something that they will of course not wish to keep secret. Quite to the contrary in fact, it’s more than reassuring to see a service provider that’s happy to share every last detail of what it is they do, right down to the equipment they use to the details of the processes and as many examples as possible of their output. This is exactly the kind of transparency that breeds confidence as the more you know about what they do and how they operate, the happier you’ll be making an investment in them. By contrast, if there’s no real evidence as to what they do or how they do it, how can you be sure what you’re getting yourself into?
4 – Guarantees
It’s one thing for a service provider to make all manner of lofty claims with regard to performance, but it’s another entirely for rock-solid guarantees to be offered. At this point in time, businesses should not be able to get away with not offering guarantees to cover everything from the results offered to the overall service package and right through to the prices paid. If there are no guarantees in place, you run a rather serious risk of not coming out with the results you wanted and having little to no chance of getting your money back.
5 – Solid Feedback
Last but not least, all the promises in the world from the service provider itself really don’t mean a great deal if there’s no feedback or reviews to back them up. Any business in operation today will have been to some extent or another reported on by its past and current customers. In the best examples it will in fact be the business that’s happy to make a song and dance about the great feedback it has received, which will be evident all over the brand’s website and beyond. However, where feedback is either disagreeable or seems somehow to be rather difficult to obtain, it’s worth questioning whether or not this is a service provider you really want to do business with.
